Geo Paints
An ongoing series produced in residency in Brasil for the Casa de Cultura da Raposa.
In this project, the artist extracts geological pigments from clay veins in the Diamond Valley in Bahia, Brazil.
From collecting, sifting, testing and categorizing, these clay bases produce a set of colours indigenous to the land, that are transformed into murals inspired by automatic drawing exercis-es.
Additively, a series of images were produced through digital generative processes, to create new visual perspectives on the work.
